Working at the Centre |
| |
Five trainers
and an accountant working full-time form the core group of
the Centre. TCCR walks its talk and uses democratic processes
for important decision making. The two Directors share the
responsibilities with the other staff and with teamwork and
joint efforts build the organisation. Cut away from the hierarchical
approach to governance TCCR aspires to balance democratic
decision making with the authorities of the Directors.
In May 2001, TCCR began with three co-ordinators working full-time
for the Centre and in May 2002 with the kind help from a Danish
support group organised by Else and Bjarne TCCR recruited
two more staff. The people who are currently working for the
Centre and their responsibilities are:

1)
Mr. Karma Lekshey Shelley – Director.
Responsible for overseeing that the Centre operates according
to the rules and regulations set out by the Governing Body.
Responsible for leading TCCR forward. The face of TCCR to
the Tibetan NGO’s and organisations. Key person dealing with
TCCR legal issues.

2) Ms.
Sonam Dechen Chophel – Associate Director. Responsible
for overseeing the proper utilisation of funds and other possessions
of the Centre. The key international relations person responsible
for international networking and publications. And during
the absence of the Director, to take up all the responsibilities
of the Director.

3) Mr.
Namgyal Dorjee –Research
officer.
Has the responsibity
of doing research into Buddhist aspects of Conflict Resolution
and leading fact finding missions on various issues.

4)
Mr. Lobsang Chomphel– Accountant .
Responsible for maintaining the accounts of the Centre. He
is Responsible for presenting the balance sheet and preparation
of budget for the forthcoming activities and dealing with
the yearly auditing of the Centre’s account. |

5)Ms.
Tsering Phandok – Information Officer.
Resposible for giving all the related information of this
Centre, its upcoming events and to maintain Centre's database
. |
 |
3) Mr.Sonam Wangchuk - –Research Assistant cum Cashier. Responsible for maintaining Cash of the Centre and updating centre day book and assisting in research works.

Note:
Except for the Accountant, the other staff are trained TCCR
Trainers. Apart from their specified responsibilities they also
give workshops, and are capable of doing counselling and mediating
between conflicting groups or individuals as and when their
expertise are required. |
